Talking in the Northern Territory

I'd never even BEEN to the Northern Territory, far less spoken there. I feel super privileged to speak alongside the Mental Health Association of Central Australia to service providers from all over the territory at the Northern Territory Council of Social Service conference. It was a mental health stream within a broader conference of health services throughout the Northern Territory. MHACA provide services on all levels and in many different ways; education, community engagement, mental health and disability support, outreach programs.. etc etc etc. Incredible. I was genuinely blown away by how much these guys do without having all the resources in the world.

I think the photos of this beautiful landscape serve this blog post better than my words could...

Just standing on the HIGHEST POINT of the highway.. Spoiler alert: it's not that high.

It was a wonderful conference full of passionate people who band together to provide excellent services across a massive chunk of land. There are no doubt unique challenges and opportunities and from what I saw in my unfortunately short time there (only one night!) it looks like service providers are doing an incredible job.

I wish I could've stayed longer there to look around after the conference but I had to jump on a plane. I'm heading to speak on a panel tonight in Sydney called Can We Talk. PLEASE MAKE IT ON TIME, PLANE!
